foot update... ok i went to the doc today. and it .... wasn't that bad! there was minimal idiocy and no shaming and NO NEEDLES!!! which is the most important part. they apparently only had 2 wheelchairs in the whole joint and both were in use when i got there. so i had to hobble down a few very long hallways to get to the proper area. so that kinda ( Read more... )

i am super proud of myself today. i made a doctor appointment to see wtf is for reals up w/my foot and possibly get a cast. this is a huge step for me. i haaaaaaaate doctors. i tend to avoid them whenever possible. and i am also proud that i actually found out roughly how much it's gonna cost as well. turns out... not that much. or at least not as ( Read more... )

today (last night for us) i talked doc into taking off the splint. i just couldn't take the pain in my heel any more. and i'm really glad i did. the whole back of my heel was numb for several hours after i took it off. it is still very tender and painful. and this is about 6 hours after having taken it off! doc wants to put it back on. i'm against ( Read more... )

well it's official... i broke my foot. it is currently in a splint (which is pretty torturous b/c i can't get to half my leg and i can't move my ankle at all) and i have 2 days to make an appointment w/an osteopath who will further diagnose me. hopefully they will not say i need surgery. that would mean i have to wear a cast and stay off my foot ( Read more... )

the good: went shopping today and scored some needed new pants (and tops, but i didn't necessarily need tops)

the bad: i fell and if my foot is still swollen tomorrow and i can't put any weight on it, i will be forced to go to the emergency room
